Top Holiday Parks in the UK: Where to Stay This Year

We’ve stayed at a lot of UK holiday parks over the years, so we’ve got a pretty good feel for which ones genuinely deliver. If you’re planning a break and don’t know where to start, here are the parks that really stand out.

Devon Cliffs Haven, Devon

Set on the stunning Jurassic Coast, Devon Cliffs is one of Haven’s biggest and most popular parks, and it’s easy to see why. You’ve got direct access to a beautiful sandy beach, huge swimming pools, and loads of activities that keep kids busy from morning to night. Whether you’re splashing in the pools, trying the aerial adventure course, or wandering along the clifftop paths, it’s a park that works brilliantly for families who like plenty going on.

Wild Rose Holiday Park, Hoseasons, Cumbria

We really like Wild Rose Park for its mix of open countryside views and a relaxed, spacious feel. The indoor/outdoor heated pool is a big highlight; you can swim through from one to the other, or stretch out on a lounger when the sun’s out. Alongside that, there are play areas, a bar and restaurant, and plenty of open space for kids to explore. It’s also a great base for the Eden Valley and the quieter side of the Lake District if you prefer avoiding the busier spots.

Craig Tara Haven, Ayrshire

Right on the Ayrshire coast, Craig Tara is one of Haven’s biggest parks and comes with that classic mix of sea views, huge facilities and plenty of things to dip in and out of. The on‑site swimming complex is a standout, and there’s a good mix of activities, entertainment and coastal walks, plus easy access to Ayr and the surrounding coastline. It’s a lively park with loads of choice, whether you want to stay active or just enjoy the scenery.

Primrose Valley Haven, North Yorkshire

Having stayed here a few times, Primrose Valley is one of those parks that always feels easy to settle into. Set above Filey Bay, it comes with big coastal views, beach access and a huge choice of things to do on‑site. From the lake activities to the pools, bars, walks and wide open spaces, it’s a park with plenty of variety and a really nice mix of lively areas and quieter corners.

Holywell Bay Park Dean Resorts, Cornwall

Set just behind the sweeping dunes of Holywell Bay, this park has that classic Cornish mix of big beaches, coastal walks and easygoing on‑site facilities. The outdoor pool, sports courts and green open spaces give you plenty to dip into between beach trips, and the location puts you close to Newquay, the South West Coast Path and some of Cornwall’s best scenery. It’s a great base if you want a simple, relaxed park with the beach right on the doorstep.

Tattershall Lakes, Lincolnshire

There’s something instantly memorable about Tattershall Lakes, and after a few stays, it’s become one of those parks that always feels worth returning to. The combination of lakeside walks, lively entertainment and the great facilities gives it a really unique feel.

Hafan Y Mor Haven, Gwynedd, North Wales

The park itself sits on the Llyn Peninsula with big coastal views, lakes, woodland trails and plenty of space to explore, giving it a real “everything in one place” feel.

Ladram Bay, Hoseasons, Dorset

The on‑site facilities are a real bonus too, with an indoor pool, adventure golf, watersports and a lovely clifftop restaurant overlooking the bay. It’s a brilliant spot if you want a mix of coastal scenery and plenty to do without needing to venture far.

Wild Duck Haven, Norfolk

Hidden among tall trees and winding woodland trails, Wild Duck has a completely different feel from most Haven parks. It’s a great choice if you like the idea of a nature‑focused break with plenty to dip into on‑site.

We’ve been back to Butlin’s Skegness more times than we can count, mainly because the amount of on‑site entertainment makes every stay feel full and fun. Splash Waterworld, the fairground, the shows, the bars and restaurants, everything is in one place, and there’s always something happening from morning to night. It’s lively, convenient and one of those resorts where you never run out of things to do.

Trecco Bay, Park Dean, South Wales

Everything is close together, which makes the whole experience easy, lively and straightforward from morning to evening.

We always enjoy our time at Darwin Forest because it blends peaceful woodland surroundings with really good on‑site facilities. The lodges feel tucked away among the trees, and the park has a calm, relaxed atmosphere, but there’s still plenty to do, from the indoor pool and spa to the trails, play areas and activity centre. It’s an easy place to unwind while still having options when you want them.

Sherwood Forest, Forest Holidays, Nottinghamshire

We always find Sherwood Forest to be one of those places where everything slows down in the best possible way. The cabins feel tucked among the trees, the walking trails start right from the door, and the whole area has that peaceful, woodland atmosphere that Forest Holidays does so well. With the outdoor hot tubs, the on‑site café and the forest ranger experiences, it’s the kind of break where you can do as much or as little as you like.
